ABOUT
The Chester Volunteer Firemen's Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the citizens of Chester, WV. Since 1914 the Chester Volunteer Fire Department has served the city with fire protection, first responders, and general support throughout the community. Facing a need to provide training to its members, purchase equipment, and improve its facilities, the Chester VFD started the Fall Bash in 2000.
The Fall Bash is held annually at Mountaineer Casino, Race Track and Resort and provides ticket holders a weekend of fun, food, and chances to win cash and prizes. Tickets to the event are sold by mail, at the fire hall, Chester American Legion, and online.
All proceeds from the event are used to fund Chester VFD Operations. In addition, the Chester VFD uses Fall Bash funds to sponsor events in the community such as the annual 4th of July celebration and fireworks, carnivals, and children's education programs.
Each year, the Chester VFD reaches out to local school, sports, religious, and youth organizations who volunteer their time to work at the Fall Bash. In return, the Chester VFD makes a donation to these organizations furthering their support in the community.
The Chester Volunteer Fire Department Fall Bash is one of the largest events of its kind in the country and continues to grow each year.
